Application:

Liquid:
Liquid Elastomeric Modifier is a polymer with the same molecular structure as rubber or plastic. It can be added to either type of material and will reduce its brittleness while keeping it strong and stretchable at higher temperatures. These modifiers are used in everything from automobile parts to seals for food storage containers due to their strength and superior resistance to heat compared to standard rubbers and plastics.


Solid:
Solid elastomeric modifiers are materials that contain polar groups like nitrogen atoms along with carbon and hydrogen. They also have a high molecular weight which helps them to be used in all types of polymers including natural rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), butyl, nitrile rubber (NBR), etc. Solid Elastomers can increase stiffness properties within various polymer systems through cross-linking processes by covalent bonds at ambient temperatures without any vulcanization process.

Rubber:
Elastomeric Modifier is an additive to increase the rubber's resistance against abrasion while also increasing its tensile strength at elevated temperatures. The elastomer modifier increases the resiliency of various grades of natural rubber including ISNR (isobutylene-isoprene-nonene copolymer), SBR (styrene-butadiene), etc., which are used in automotive tires due to their high degree of traction on wet surfaces. It can be applied as a masterbatch or by incorporating it directly during mixing with other ingredients using different processing techniques such as extrusion & calendering processes for manufacturing products like hoses, belts, and fan belts.

Plastic:
Elastomeric Modifier is used in plastic to increase the flexibility, elasticity, and durability of plastics. The presence of Elastomeric Modifiers makes the process cost-effective as it reduces wastage due to expensive raw materials being discarded during processing. It also increases the strength of the product by decreasing brittleness without compromising on its other properties such as viscosity or mechanical resistance.

Latex:
Elastomeric Modifier has a wide range of uses in latex. It is used to help produce better physical properties and chemical resistance, as well as reduce the cost of manufacturing processes for this material. Elastomer modifies physical and mechanical properties such as strength, elasticity, tear resistance, etc.
